On Friday, September 9th, Cherry Hill High School West’s Class of 2023 met on the turf football fields to ring in their final year of high school.

Organized by the class’ student government, and the government’s advisers Mrs. Semar and Mrs. Coffey, the event began at approximately 6:30 AM. Students were advised to bring their own blankets and chairs, with the promise of breakfast. Donuts were served and many were seen carrying coffee onto the field.

The event provided the new seniors with a chance to reunite and reconnect after several years divided by the spread of the Coronavirus. “For most of us, senior year is one that we have been looking forward to for so long,” Natalie Fournier, class government official and NHS member, commented. “We were all so excited to be together!”

In the coming weeks, the Senior Class will attend their final homecoming football game and dance. The class will graduate in June.
