The Cherry Hill West football team had another disappointing season, but still capitalized on the opportunity to further their growth as a team. The Lions finished with a 4-6 record, once again being held out of playoff contention.

West opened their season with a blowout win over Triton High School, allowing them to climb multiple spots in the South Jersey rankings to number 20. The Lions then followed with a four game losing streak, including a 27-0 loss to defending state champion Shawnee.

The last half of the season finished with it’s share of highs and lows. West would end their losing streak with a close 14-7 win over Moorestown High School, but then a week later lose a hard fight with Clearview Regional School. The Lions would finish their last three games going 2-1, unable to resurrect their season in the second half. West was able to cap off their season in an exciting way, however, by completing a victory over cross-town rival Cherry Hill East in miracle fashion, giving the team a positive way to close out another unsatisfying season.
