Sports: 

The Eagles defeated the New York Giants on Sunday the 8th with a score of 16-22. This is the 14th win for the Eagles as they continue on their incredible run as 1st in the NFC East. The Eagles with a record of 14-3 will play the Giants again with their record of 10-7-1 this weekend on Saturday night at 8:15 in the playoffs. 

 

West News: 

Congratulations to Coach Anthony of the West girls soccer team for winning South Jersey Coach of the Year! Coach Anthony led the lions through a historic run this season, winning the Group 3 final, and advancing to the State finals earlier this year. Great work, Coach!

 

The West boys basketball team defeated Shawnee on Tuesday the 10th with a score of 42-37, led by Senior, Peter Graffeo, Junior, Ben Manns (11 points each), and Sophomore, Quinn Gibson (10 points).  On January 13th, the team also defeated Pensaukenn 70-63. Upcoming games for the team include, Thursday the 19th against Winslow and Saturday the 21st against Clearview. 

 

Entertainment: 

The 80th Golden Globe Awards were held on Tuesday, January 10th. The winners included Zendaya for best performance by an actress in a television series – drama (for Euphoria), Austin Butler for best actor in a motion picture- drama (for Elvis), and The Fabelmans for best motion picture drama.
