West News: 

  • The NHS has begun its Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Cherry Hill Food Pantry. Please bring donations to E16 in order to receive Spirit Week points for your grade!  
  • Peer Tutoring with the NHS has also begun. Feel free to submit a request form via Google Classroom in order to be matched with a tutor from the National Honor Society.
  • Spirit Week is quickly approaching (Nov. 17-24). Talk to your class advisors or visit your class’ Google Classroom in order to get involved in lip sync (Tuesday the 15th), decorating, corn hole, spikeball, and many more activities. 
  • The annual NHS dodgeball tournament for Spirit Week will also take place on Thursday, November 17th. Pick up a form in E16 and find a team of 8 to participate. It is $40 a team to enter. Proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or come to Walsh gym on Thursday at 5:45 to watch!

 

Sports: 

  • The Phillies defeated the San Diego Padres, becoming the Champions of the NLCS and advancing to the World Series for the first time since 2008. The series began on Friday the 28th and will end on Saturday, November 5th if all 7 games are necessary. 
  • The Eagles played on Sunday the 30th against the Pittsburgh Steelers to defend their undefeated title. The Eagles won 35-13.
