The 2025 NFL Draft is a wrap, and honestly, the Eagles did pretty well this year. They ended up with 10 total picks and focused mainly on defense, which makes sense, since that was a weak spot last season. GM Howie Roseman did his usual thing, making a series of trades, moving up a few spots as well as dropping out of some rounds completely. They managed to get a pick for next year as well.
The Birds’ first pick came at No. 31 overall, and they took linebacker Jihaad Campbell from Alabama. A lot of people thought he could go way earlier, so getting him at 31 feels like a steal. He’s super athletic and should really help the defense.
In the second round, they picked safety Andrew Mukuba out of Texas. He’s a solid player and might even take over for C.J. Gardner-Johnson eventually.
They drafted the following:
Round 1, Pick 31: Jihaad Campbell, LB (Alabama)
Round 2, Pick 64: Andrew Mukuba, S (Texas)
Round 4, Pick 111: Ty Robinson, DT (Nebraska)
Round 5, Pick 145: Mac McWilliams, CB (UCF)
Round 5, Pick 161: Smael Mondon Jr., LB (Georgia)
Round 5, Pick 168: Drew Kendall, C (Boston College)
Round 6, Pick 181: Kyle McCord, QB (Syracuse)
Round 6, Pick 191: Myles Hinton, OT (Michigan)
Round 6, Pick 207: Cameron Williams, OT (Texas)
Round 6, Pick 209: Antwaun Powell-Ryland, DE (Virginia Tech)
They really loaded up on linemen late in the draft, which should help protect Jalen Hurts. Plus, they grabbed Kyle McCord as a backup QB just in case. All of the new rookies should be able to help Philadelphia make a good reason for their upcoming seasons.
