It was a cold and windy day

When the first female Vice President

Was sworn into office

When the country underwent 

Some changes in office that

Might bring the end of Covid’s torment

Vice President Kamala Harris 

Is her name

A woman who has the power

To rise to fame

A woman who knows

She can make a great change

A woman like her is extraordinary

A strong, caring person

Who knows what she wants

And wants to prevent conditions from worsening

And happens to be a congressperson

A woman who supports equal rights

The country has great hopes for her

A woman finally in power

The one to help us out 

Of our darkest hour

Someone who will help our country grow

Like a blooming flower
