This club welcomes any person, of any gender and background. They will be are putting together fundraisers for women in need all around the world, and are promoting a hate free community to those who want equality between genders.

Imagine being objectified from birth, just based on your sex. Being judged and discriminated against, based on the one little label on your birth certificate, determining whether you will be an all powerful male, or a stay at home, pretty woman of no power.

Women were being objectified as property from the beginning of time. In the U.S constitution, men were superior to women, as women were seen as property. Women back then were not allowed to divorce, own property, and until the 20th century vote.

While women are 51% of the world’s population, they are still being discriminated against to this day. Their bodies are being objectified by men and women are being overly sexualized in today’s society, with the superheros that represent women having defining figures that are seen as objects. Very rarely will you see women of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities being represented as powerful individuals. Up until recently, girls in Disney movies all had the goal of finding a powerful man to be the head of their decisions.

While representation and awareness of the oppression of women is appearing more often in today’s media, the change to stop this oppression is very minimal.
