As a way to celebrate and promote the French language and culture during National French Week, students here at West partook in a French cake decorating contest on Monday, November 23rd. Every French student was required to bake and decorate a cake that somehow represents the French language and culture. Beautiful cakes were seen on display in the Tech Room, awaiting judgement by the faculty, staff and administrators who would reward the first place winner with a fifty dollar prize.

Many cakes were decorated with the Pray for Paris emblem, a gesture that touched Mrs. Cottone because it showed that her students were aware and in solidarity with France after the tragic events of November 13th.
